I would recommend showing up for one of the many themed events you get to meet so many cool people.
I highly recommend paying them a visit this summer!
Jay the owner has a very inviting personality that makes every smile. He shares many great stories and does all the cooking for the girls. When it was time to go home my daughter said "I don't want to go home"
We where not able to come back this summer but we have camped here a few times. The owner Jay is awesome, he makes the whole experience at the park. Talk about a person that would bend over backwards to make your stay flawless.The camp sites are nice and being it is off the road the night time sky is awesome.
My wife did the horse back riding and loved every minute of it and it is recommended not to be late or it screws up the schedule for everyone else.They will not wait for you nor should they. If you are late it is your problem not there's and you might not get your money back for your mistake. Penalty for accountability crazy.
This is by far one of the most fun campgrounds I have stayed at. It has something for all ages of kids and something for every person of the family to truly enjoy! The lots are nice and the grounds are very clean. The Horses on the grounds are a real treat, they are very friendly and well mannered. I loved every bit of our stay, not to mention the bathrooms are the best I have ever seen! The activities within the campground are awesome and not badly priced. The campground is also only 20-30 miles from Stevens Point which has more activities to enjoy. All in all it was a very fun weekend at Wild West Campground and we will for sure be coming back!
My 10 year old daughter just completed a week of Girls Horse camp. She was assigned a horse that she worked with for 4 hours a day for 5 days. They also had fun with crafts and prairie picnic. She stayed in the bunk house with 12 other girls and 2 adult female councilors. One of the councilors just complete equine schooling and had much to teach the girls.
Friends for life 1 week at a time
Girls enjoyed camp. "Very fun, educational, fantastic, highlight of the summer."
We also camp at Wild West and enjoy the trail rides. I would like to say the trail rides are scheduled so you need to arrive early for a quick paper work signature and the ride leaves at the scheduled time. This allows them to get back and ready for the next group. The rides in the woods are beautiful and often you see wild life on the trails.
